Settle national class action cases involving salmonella contaminated food products.
Solution
In two cases, we analyzed the solvency of the defendant, designed the claim protocol, provided notification to potential claimants, and analyzed all claims submitted by potential claimants.
We assisted in the settlement negotiations and developed settlement structures—distributing settlement documentation packages to all approved claimants, collecting settlement documentation and processing settlement payments for all approved claimants.
We issued a final report to the court, plaintiff class members and defendants.
Results
A global settlement was reached in both cases avoiding lengthy, complex and costly trials.
Preserved both defendant companies as ongoing entities saving hundreds of U.S. jobs.
